Üniversitelerarası Badminton Şampiyonasına Katılan Sporcu-Öğrencilerin Antrenör Davranışı Tercihlerinin İncelenmesi

Bu araştırma üniversitelerarası badminton müsabakalarına katılan sporcu öğrencilerin antrenör davranışı tercihlerinin belirlenmesi ve cinsiyet değişkenine göre karşılaştırılmasını amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda 2009 yılında Kırşehir Ahi Evran Üniversitesinde yapılan ve 7 üniversitenin katıldığı üniversiteler arası B kategorisi badminton şampiyonasında 57 (26 kadın, 31 erkek) sporcuya, 35 madde ve 4 alt boyuttan oluşan “Leadership Scale For Sport: Athlete’s Preferences of Coach’s Behaviour” uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin istatistik analizinde bağımsız t-testine başvurulmuştur. İstatistiksel anlamlılık için .05 anlamlılık düzeyi seçilmiştir. Kadınlarda (4,13±0,52), erkeklerde (4,15±0,54) ortalama ile en çok tercih edilen antrenör davranışının “eğitici ve ödüllendirici davranış” olduğu bulunmuştur. Kadın ve erkek sporcular arasında “destekleyici davranış tercihi” boyutunda anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu belirlenmiştir (t=2.67; p<0,05).

Examining The Coach Behaviour Preferences Of Athlete-students That Participated In Intercollegiate Badminton Championship

Abstract:

In this study it is intended to determine athlete-students’ coach behaviour preference and compare according to gender who participated in intercollegiate badminton competition. Leadership Scale for Sport: Athlete’s Preferences of Coach’s Behaviour was used to gather data. The research was applied in intercollegiate B categorie badminton championship where 7 universities participated in and organized in Ahi Evran University in 2009. The sample of research consists of 57 badminton athlete- students (26 female, 31 male). The data were analyzed by using the technique independent samples t test. 0.05 was chosen for the statistical significance. It was found that the most preferred coaching behavior preference is "educational and rewarding behavior" with the average of 4.13 ± 0.52 in females and 4.15 ± 0.54 in males. It was also found that there is a significant difference between male and female athlete-students’ “supportive bahaviour preference (t = 2.67, p <0.05).
