Abstract:

Industries head towards new industrial phase which is termed as Industry 4.0 todays and this phase represents a new paradigm for modern manufacturing by considering changes about traditional quality concepts. Through quality management digitalization by Industry 4.0, Total Quality Management should be adapted to modern technologies and consequently as a new approach Total Quality Management 4.0 (TQM 4.0) has emerged. TQM 4.0 is an ecosystem which supports the integration between technology, quality and people in industries as a result of the adoption quality management to Industry 4.0 technologies. Besides TQM, Industry 4.0 can also affect Lean Six Sigma which is a quality management approach Lean Six Sigma is the integration of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma which concentrates on the elimination of waste, improvement of process and quality. TQM 4.0 and Lean Six Sigma approaches provide significant advantages to companies such as increase quality, eliminate defects and waste and therefore decrease cost, provide continuous improvement in process and increase productivity. Consequently, the aim of this study is to present the importance of TQM 4.0 and Lean Six Sigma approaches for management accounting which provide so many advantages for companies. Accordingly in this study, first TQM 4.0 approach then Lean Six Sigma approach which are significant through Industry 4.0 have been explained theoretically within the scope of management accounting by means of literature review
