Metaforlar üzerine bugün birçok alanda çalışma yapılmaktadır. Metaforun ne olduğu, bir kavramın metaforlaşma süreci, zihnin metafor üretme süreci ve aşamaları, kavramların kategorize edilmesi gibi çokça teorik araştırmalar yapılmıştır ve yapılmaya da devam etmektedir. Bunun yanında ise metaforlar üzerine uygulamalı çalışmalar da sürdürülmektedir. Bu çalışmanın çıkış nedeni ise metafor üzerine yapılan uygulamalı çalışmalar içerisinde, Türkiye Türkçesi bağlamında söz kavramı üzerine yapılmış bir çalışmaya rastlanmamış olmasıdır. Çalışmada Türkiye Türkçesi deyimlerinde geçen söz ve türevi sözcükler (lâf, lakırdı) söz kavramının dil düzleminde işaretleri olarak kabul edilmiş ve böylelikle bu kavramın hangi imgelere sahip olduğu ve nasıl metaforlaştırıldığı tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada Ömer Asım Aksoy’un Atasözleri ve Deyimler Sözlüğü kitabından derlenmiş, içerisinde söz, lâf, lakırdı sözcükleri bulunan deyimlerin seçilmesi yoluyla oluşturulmuş veri tabanından yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmanın kuramsal tabanı ise Zaltman-Zaltman (2017)’den yararlanılarak oluşturulmuştur. Derlenen deyimler sırasıyla yüzey metaforlar, metaforik temalar ve derin metaforlar bağlamında değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda ise söz kavramının Türkiye Türkçesinde en çok KONTROL, en az ise DENGE imgelerine sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
Today, many metaphors are being studied in many areas. Many theoretical research have been done and continues, such as what the metafor is, the process of metaforization of a concept, the process and stages of the production of the metafor of the mind, the categorization of the concepts. In addition, the work on the metaphors is continued. The outcome of this study is that in the practical studies on the metafor, there is no work on the word concept in the context of Turkish. In the study, the word and derivative words passed in Turkish words (lâf, lakırdı) were considered as signs in the language level of the word concept and thus it was tried to identify which images this concept has and how it is metaphorized. The theoretical basis of the study was created using Zaltman-Zaltman (2017). The aggregated phrases are assessed in the context of surface metaphors, metaphoric themes and deep metaphors, respectively. The research has found that the word concept in Turkish has a lot of control and a little balance images.
Nowadays there are a lot of multidirectional research about metaphors. There are many theoretical researches such as what is metaphor, metaphorization process of a concept, the process and stages of metaphor production of mind and categorization of concepts and these researches are continuing. In addition to these theoretical studies, there are also applied studies and metaphors are analyzed in these researches. The reason of this study is in applied studies on the "söz" metaphors is not found yet in Turkish. In this study, the words "söz, laf, lakırdı" used in Turkish idioms were accepted as signs of the "söz" metaphor in the language. The aim of this study is to try to explain which images the "söz" concept has and how it has been metaphorised. The database of this study is compiled from consists of idioms with the word "söz, laf, lakırdı" in Omer Asim Aksoy's Atasözleri ve Deyimler Sözlüğü. The theoretical basis of the study was established by using Zaltman-Zaltman (2017). The compiled idioms were evaluated in the context of "surface metaphors" and "deep metaphors". As a result of the study was found that "söz" concept, as deep metaphors, has KONTROL image at most and BALANCE image at least.
