Abstract:

Purpose: In the treatment of macular inflammation, which is linked to retina venous blocks, the intravitreal bevacizumab injection examines changes in vision severity and central fovea thickness. Tools and Methods: This retrospective study examined 21 eyes of 21 patients who were administered intravitreal bevacizumab injection followed by the diagnosis of retina venous injection. The incidents were monitored in intervals of one month and 3 doses of intravitreal 1.25 mg/0.05 mL bevacizumab injections were administered. Vision sharpness (GK), central fovea thickness (SFK) and complications were recorded. The t-test was used to compare the data, and the P<0.05 value was statistically meaningful. The average age of patients was 62.14±9.4 years (46-84). The patient's pre-injection central fovea thickness was 548.0±227.8 μm, while the patient's pre-injection central fovea thickness was 1 month 272.8±128.6 μm and 3 month 269.6±125.7 μm. According to the preoperative central fovea thickness, a decrease in the 1st and 3rd months of central fovea thickness has been observed after treatment. All of these reductions in the SFK are statistically meaningful (P<005). The patient's pre-injection visual accuracy was 0.72±0.45 logMAR (0.10−2.0) while the patient's pre-injection visual accuracy was 0.39±0.41 logMar (0.0−1.1) and the patient's pre-injection visual accuracy was 0.41±0.38 logMar (December; 0.0−1.3). The result: Patients had a statistically significant increase in the best corrected vision accuracy (EIDGK) in the 1st and 3rd months compared to before the injection (P<0.05).
