This study was to investigate political, administrative and military situation at the beginning of XVIIIth century in the North Africa, which remained under the Ottoman rule for the past four hundred years until signing the Ochy Treaty between İtalian and Ottoman, in 1912. The North Africa had a semi-independent status, and always stayed under the control of the central administration throughout the Ottoman rule. However, after the second siege of Vienna, the Ottoman Empire had fought against the western states for sixteen years. During this chaotic period, the North African territory was very badly affected and the central authority declined there. Because of this local authority ignored the law of central administrator. This period came to an end with the signing of Karlowitz Treaty. After then the political situation and ties with the central government of North Africa were consolidated. The study will reveal the political, administrative and military precautions of the Ottoman government and their effects on the Ottoman rule in the North Africa in the long term
