The new SARS-CoV-2 virus first appeared on December 29, 2019 with the detection of pneumonia findings in a large number of people who work at a market in Wuhan, China, which sells seafood and livestock and visits the market. This virus, known to be very infectious, can enter the body through the mucous surfaces such as the mouth, nose or eye. It is also known that the spread of the virus is through drops and secretions. There is no vaccination or proven antiviral treatment against the virus yet. A group of viral infectious agents, including coronavirus, is known to cause both systemic and ocular infections. During the ophthalmology examinations, the patient may be in contact with the conjunctive with tears and because it is studied very closely, it is a risk for both the patient and the eye doctor from the point of view of infection. In this collection, the conjunctivitis relationship with SARS-CoV-2 and covid-19 tests are positive in patients with eye examination will be accompanied by the literature of the risk of infection.

During the ophthalmology exams, the patient's tear and conjunctiva can be contacted, and because it has been studied very closely, it poses a risk to both the patient and the ophthalmologist in terms of transmission. In this review, the relationship between SARS-CoV-2 and conjunctivitis and the risk of transmission during eye examination of patients with positive covid - 19 test will be examined in the light of the literature.
