Abstract:

The aim of this study is to present 21st century’s values of mathematics education in a detailed perspectiveAll the studies made as of 21st century using keywords related to this purpose, national and international databases of “mathematics value concepts in mathematics learning” areas have been scanned. The related literature has been survey by document analysis method. As a result of the surveying, 55 studies on values were reached in mathematics education. Scientific studies included in the scope of the research are categorized under the year of publication and the research group. In addition, the researches reached as a result of the surveying were analyzed in detail in terms of content the math values, featured findings and recommendations determined in mathematics education were determined and presented to the reader. It has been observed that scientific studies on the concept of values in mathematics education have increased and gained importance in the last nine years, and eighty-seven values have been identified in mathematics education. In scientific studies, solidarity, cooperation, group work, philanthropy, rationalism, rationalism, objective understanding, responsibility, openness and respect values are another result obtained. Within the framework of the findings obtained in the study, some suggestions were made regarding the values related to the mathematics learning field.
