In the first part of this work, which explores the use of Porter's generic Competition Strategy model in the hospitality sector, the background for general information on strategic management is explored in detail. In the second part, conceptual theoretical background of the competition is analyzed in detail. In the third part of the study, a questionnaire study was conducted on 3, 4 and 5 star hotel managers in Istanbul Hotel Management Sector. The obtained data were analyzed and interpreted through SPSS and a research report was prepared and suggestions were developed. While investigating the validity of the competition analyzes applied in the Turkish hospitality sector in three general contexts; participants were asked whether there was a target strategy for the hotel operation, whether the hotel had a competitive strategy and whether it was a hotel type A, B, C, or D, referring to the growth direction of the business.
