Bu çalışmanın amacı, üstün yetenekli tanısı konan ve BİLSEM’de eğitim alan ortaokul öğrencilerinin gelecekte tercih etmek istedikleri meslekleri, bu meslekler içindeki kişilerin özellikleri hakkındaki düşüncelerini ve tercih ettikleri mesleklerin diğer meslek kolları ile ilişkisi hakkındaki görüşlerini belirlemektir. Bunun için karma yöntem desenlerinde yer alan açıklayıcı ardışık desen kullanılmıştır. Öncelikle BİLSEM öğrencilerine ortaokul öğrencilerinin kariyer ve yetenek gelişimi öz yeterlik düzeylerini belirlemek için geliştirilmiş “Kariyer ve Yetenek Gelişimi Öz Yeterlik Ölçeği” uygulanmıştır. Bu ölçeğe göre alınan puanların cinsiyete, öğrenim görülen okul türüne ve sınıf düzeyine göre farklılık olup olmadığına bakılmıştır. Daha sonra ise üstün yetenekli öğrencilerin; meslek tercihlerinin neler olduğu, tercih ettikleri mesleklerin özelliklerini nasıl tanımladıkları, seçmek istedikleri mesleği yapacak kişilerin özelliklerinin neler olması gerektiği ve seçmek istedikleri mesleğe yakınlık gösterdiğini düşündükleri meslek dallarının neler olduğunu ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2018-2019 eğitim-öğretim yılında Akdeniz bölgesinde yer alan 4 farklı BİLSEM’de öğrenim gören 198 ortaokul öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın nicel ve nitel verileri toplanırken amaçlı örneklemeden ölçüt örneklemeye göre katılımcılar belirlenmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak KYGÖY Ölçeği ve yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen nicel veriler yüzde, frekans, aritmetik ortalama, bağımlı gruplar t-testi ve ANOVA kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Nitel veriler ise içerik analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda üstün yetenekli ortaokul öğrencilerinin kariyer ve yetenek gelişimlerinin öz yeterlik bakımından oldukça iyi düzeyde oldukları, en çok tıp alanı ile ilgili meslekleri tercih ettikleri, tercih ettikleri meslekler hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip oldukları, seçmek istedikleri mesleği yapacak kişilerin özelliklerini sayabildikleri ve seçmek istedikleri mesleğe yakınlık gösteren diğer meslek kolları hakkında da yeterli düzeyde bilgilerinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
The aim of this study is to identify high-quality and high-quality high school students who have been identified and studied in BILSEM the professions they want to choose in the future, their opinions about the characteristics of persons in these professions and their opinions about the relationship of their preferred professions with other professional arms. For this purpose, the illustrative consecutive patterns included in the karma method patterns were used. First of all, the "Career and Talent Development Self Qualification Scale" is applied to high school students developed to determine their career and talent development skills levels. The scores obtained according to this scale were considered whether they vary according to gender, type of school and class level. After that, the highest-talent students have revealed what their career preferences are, how they define the characteristics of their preferred professions, what the characteristics of the people who want to do the profession they want to do and what the professions they think are closely related to the profession they want to choose. The research study group consists of 198 secondary school students studying in 4 different BILSEMs located in the Mediterranean region in the 2018-2019 educational year. The study’s quantitative and qualitative data were collected and the participants were determined by measurement sampling from the purpose of the sampling. The data collection tool has been used as the KYGÖY scale and a semi-configured conversation form. The obtained quantitative data were analyzed using percentage, frequency, arithmetic average, dependent groups t-test and ANOVA. The data is evaluated by content analysis. The study found that high-quality high school students have a very good level of career and skill development in terms of self-capacity, that they prefer the occupations that are most related to the medical field, that they have sufficient knowledge of the occupations they prefer, that they can count the characteristics of the people to do the occupation they want to do, and that they have sufficient knowledge of the other occupational arms that show close proximity to the occupation they want to do.
