With this study, the possibilities of biological struggle with antagonistic bacteria against the phytophthora disease in pepper were studied. Antagonist bacterial candidates from pepper roots have been isolated for use in biological combat studies. The antimicrobial effects of the antagonists against the pathogen were then evaluated by binary culture, root test, seed and field tests. During the studies, a total of 95 antagonist bacterial insulates were obtained, 21 of which in the two-cultural tests prevented the pathogen's example development by 20-82%. Antagonists used in root tests were found to be effective in preventing the outcome of the disease at a rate of up to 93%. Some of the antagonists tested in the trials were prevented from developing the disease, while some were found to increase the severity of the disease. In the field trials of biological struggle, hopeful results were achieved.
