Abstract:

Anxiety, which can occur at any moment of life, can negatively affect human life in many respects. The effect of anxiety has a feature that may differ from individual to individual. The perspective of the anxious situation and the methods of struggle can be affected by the person himself or by environmental factors. Anxiety about the future, which is the most common anxiety experienced by the younger generation, can also vary from person to person. In this study, the effect of entrepreneurial behavior and self-efficacy on future anxiety was investigated with the assumption that this anxiety will be experienced less in individuals who are struggling, who do not avoid taking risks and who believe that they can succeed. In addition, the mediating effect of entrepreneurial behavior on the effect of self-efficacy perception on future anxiety was also investigated. The population of the research consists of students studying at Duzce University Faculty of Business Administration. Data were collected through online questionnaires from 250 students selected by convenience sampling from this universe. Hypothesis tests were carried out with structural equation modeling analysis. According to the research findings, it was seen that self-efficacy perception and entrepreneurial behavior had a negative and significant effect on future anxiety. In addition, entrepreneurial behavior tendency has a partial mediating role in the relationship between self-efficacy perception and future anxiety.
