Abstract:

In recent years, Singapore has attracted attention to its achievements in the international student assessment exams (PISA, TIMMS and PIRLS). The achievements achieved by countries in international examinations inform us about the educational policies and practices these countries have. Singapore’s success in these exams has led other countries to conduct research on the country’s educational policy, system, and the example practices they apply. From the countries in the reform work to improve the education system, Turkey and other countries have not been able to show the desired success in international examinations and have been directed to the research of the education system of the country of Singapore, which has shown superior success in these examinations, has gained speed to the research to reveal the characteristics they think they have an impact on the success. With this study, our aim is to explore and study the situations and examples of the practices that put Singapore to the top in education. In this context, the data obtained as a result of the source scan was interpreted and explained under the title of examples of applications that brought Singapore to the top. Furthermore, the display of these characteristics that bring Singapore to the top under these titles is expected to contribute to the development of our country and other countries’ appropriate educational policies and systems.
