Abstract:

This study elaborates an analysis of the informative treatment of immigration during the pandemic produced by COVID-19. Its objective is to deepen the elements that characterize the references made on the migratory phenomenon from television news during this pandemic context. The units of analysis are part of a representative sample obtained using the transcripts of TVE news programs made available to the public through the open source web application, Verba. The main results show similarities with the informational treatment carried out by the media in pre-pandemic periods, as well as the influence of international contexts and actors.
