Abstract:

One of the weaknesses of the aviation sector is that political or political problems are used unilaterally or for a specific benefit. Countries with high-tech war weapons with UAVs can achieve effective results in global operations without losing personnel. Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Systems in conjunction with the maintenance of these tools are widely used in Turkey to repair, logistics, operations, strategic evaluation of the process of reorganization is an important place. In this study, a qualitative research was conducted with in-depth interviews with the managers of the enterprises that produce UAV technology, repair, maintenance and repair and import. The SWOT analysis and scale created according to the data obtained were asked to 245 experts working in the sector and the accuracy of the data was tested with quantitative methods. Factor loadings were calculated after the consistency analysis of the scale. According to the analysis made, the weakest part of the UAV systems is that they are described as "unmanned". This situation causes the work to be perceived as simple, unimportant or not serious. It causes even possible accidents to be considered unimportant. It is important that gender and marital status do not differ in the sub-dimensions of the SWOT analysis within the UAV industry. In this way, it is considered that male and female employees in the industry should contribute on the same dimension. Thanks to this study, the perspective of the UAV manufacturers to the industry, the environmental situation, the strengths and weaknesses of the industry, as well as the opportunities and threats were discussed. The weaknesses identified in the research must be overcome with domestic and national production. It is considered that turning the threats into opportunities by reducing them in dynamic life and increasing the strengths of the enterprises will strengthen the companies in the sector.
