Abstract:

Purpose - This study examines current studies on the applications of blockchain technology in the supply chain; It aims to draw a future projection for supply chain and blockchain interaction by identifying the application areas of this technology in the supply chain and the obstacles encountered in applications. Methodology - To analyze the available literature, 34 articles selected from 264 studies in Scopus and Google Scholar were examined. Findings - When the examined studies are evaluated in a whole, it is seen that the integration of blockchain technology into the supply chain has increased in recent years and this increase provides the chain members with significant competitive advantages over their competitors. Conclusions - The results showed that blockchain technology has radically changed traditional business models and can be easily and effectively applied in issues such as real-time monitoring in the supply chain, product traceability and transparency of the supply chain.
