Çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye İmalat Sanayii için 1997 ve 2017 yılları arasındaki ticaret yapısının, ürün farklılaştırmasını esas alıp almadığını belirlemektir. Bunun için ISIC REV 3 (Uluslararası standart sanayi sınıflaması) Düzey 1 ve ISIC REV 3 Düzey 2’ de yer alan sektörlerin iki yönlü ticaret değerleri Grubel-Lloyd endeksi ile belirlenerek imalat sanayiinin ticaret yapısı araştırılmıştır. Tespit edilen bulgular şunlardır: a) Düzey 1’ e ait olan sektörler içerisinde heterojen mal akımının en yoğun gerçekleştiği sektörün, % 85 oranla İmalat Sanayii Sektörü’ dür. b) Düzey 2 imalat sanayii yirmi iki alt sektörleri içerisinde ise iki yönlü ticaretin yoğun olarak görüldüğü sektör, % 87 payla Plastik ve Kauçuk Ürünleri Sektörü’ dür. Bu bulgular, Türkiye İmalat Sanayiindeki ticaret yapısının “Endüstri İçi -İki Yönlü –Ticaret” biçiminde olduğu yönünde güçlü delilleri göz önüne sermektedir.
The aim of the study is to determine whether the trade structure between 1997 and 2017 for the Turkish Manufacturing Industry is based on product differentiation. For this purpose, the trade values of the sectors included in ISIC REV 3 (International Standard Industrial Classification) Level 1 and ISIC REV 3 Level 2 are determined by the Grubel-Lloyd Index and the trade structure of the manufacturing industry is studied. The findings found are: a) The sector where heterogeneous goods flow occurs within the sectors belonging to Level 1 is the Manufacturing Industry Sector with 85%.(b) Level 2 manufacturing industry is the sector in which two-way trade is widely observed, with a share of 87% of the plastic and rubber products sector. These findings take into account strong evidence that the trade structure in the manufacturing industry in Turkey is in the form of "Industrial - Two-Sight Trade".
