Abstract:

The purpose of this collection is to provide the effects of pelvic organs prolapsus on sexual life. Pelvic organ prolapsus is a biopsycho-social health problem that affects half of women. This health problem in women also causes aesthetic anxiety, physiological and psychological problems, disparonia, sexual desire, stimulation and negative effects in the stages of orgasm. The detailed anamnesis received by specialized parents/services, which are very good position to contribute to the first assessment, management and continuous support of the woman, and the results of the physical examination and diagnosis tests carried out by the doctor, the conservative or surgical treatment method is preferred. While more research on kegel exercise is needed in women who are treated with conservative therapy, it has been that the preferred use in older ages has an increase in the frequency of sexual activity and satisfaction levels, having positive effects on lubrication and desire after treatment. In many studies with patients applied the surgical method, it has been found that surgical operations can increase the image of the body and the feeling of attraction but do not cause a clear improvement in sexual function. During all this diagnosis and treatment, it is important that the specialized parents and nurses provide psychological support, education and advice to the woman and her family, as well as recommendations on sexual life. It is important that women with pelvic organs prolaps are carefully evaluated and approached to solving the sexually affected functions of women.
