Angiotensin II type I receptor antagonists are a group of drugs which are preferred for the treatment of essential hypertension, valsartan is in this group of drugs. Since they interact with the renin-angiotensin system, in case of inadvertent use, there are adverse effects on the fetus and neonate. Oligohydramnios, fetal growth retardation, pulmonary hypoplasia, limb contractures, and calvarial hypoplasia in association with maternal valsartan treatment during the second or third trimester of pregnancy are reported in the literature. Here in we report a case of inadvertent use of valsartan treatment until 25th week of gestation and its consequences.
