Psikoloji, PDR ve sosyal hizmet bölümlerinde öğrenim gören ve gelecekte danışan psikososyal destek sağlayacak olan bu profesyonellerin çalışma sürecinde duygularını ayarlayabilmesi (kontrol edebilmesi), sosyal olarak yetkin olması ve olumsuz değerlendirilmeye ilişkin farkındalıklarının olması gerekmektedir. Bu bağlamda araştırmada psikoloji, PDR ve sosyal hizmet öğrencilerinin duygu stilleri, olumsuz değerlendirilme korkusu ve algılanan sosyal yetkinlik düzeylerinin çeşitli değişkenlere göre incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Tanımlayıcı nitelikte olan araştırma Türkiye’deki çeşitli üniversitelerde psikoloji, PDR ve sosyal hizmet eğitimi gören 485 öğrenci üzerinde online veri toplama yöntemi ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yaşları 18 ile 30 arasında değişen (21,01 ± 1,93) 485 öğrencinin %65,6’sı kız, %34,4’ü erkeklerden oluşmaktadır. Ayrıca bölümlerine göre dağılımları incelendiğinde araştırma kapsamındaki katılımcıların %19,6’sı psikoloji, %36,9’u PDR ve %43,5’i sosyal hizmet bölümün öğrencisi olduğunu ifade etmiştir. Araştırmada duygu stilleri ölçeği, olumsuz değerlendirilme korkusu ölçeği ve algılanan sosyal yetkinlik ölçeği olmak üzere üç farklı ölçek kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadaki bağımlı değişkenlerin katılımcıların demografik özelliklerine göre anlamlı düzeyde farklılaştığı görülmüştür. Ayrıca araştırmada kullanılan ölçekler arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı ilişkilerin olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
These professionals who are studying in the psychology, PDR and social services departments and will provide psychosocial support advised in the future must be able to adjust (control) their emotions in the work process, be socially competent and have awareness of negative assessment. In this context, the research is aimed at studying psychology, PDR and social service students' emotions, fear of negative assessment, and the level of social competence perceived according to a variety of variables. The research, which is of a defining quality, has been carried out through the online data collection method of 485 students who have received psychology, PDR and social service education at various universities in Turkey. Of the 485 students aged between 18 and 30 (21,01 ± 1,93) 65,6% are girls and 34,4% are men. In addition, when the distribution was studied according to their departments, 19.6 percent of the participants in the study stated that they were psychology, 36.9 percent PDR and 43.5 percent social service students. The study used three different scales: the scale of emotional styles, the scale of fear of negative assessment, and the scale of social ability perceived. The study found that dependent variables varied significantly according to the demographic characteristics of participants. It has also found that there are statistically meaningful relationships between the scales used in the research.
Professionals who provide psycho-social support to individuals should be able to adjust (control) their emotions during the work process, have social skills, and be aware of negative evaluation. In this context, the aim of this study was to investigate the affective styles, fear of negative evaluation and perceived social competence levels of psychology, PDR and social service students according to various variables. The descriptive research was carried out through online data collection methods with 485 students aged 18-30 who studying on psychology, social services and PDR departments. In the study, three different scales were used: the affective styles scale, the fear of negative evaluation scale and the perceived social competency scale. The dependent variables of the study differ according to the some demographic variables. However, no statistically significant difference was found between the participants' feelings of suppression, coping and tolerance, levels of fear of negative evaluation and perceived social competence levels according to their departments.In addition, statistically significant relationships were found between the scales used in the research. Accordingly, it was found that there is a negative and low-level relationship between the fear of negative evaluation and the perceived social competence level and the sense of coping. In addition, a positive low-level relationship was found between perceived social competence and feelings of tolerance, suppression, and coping.
