History of science (HOS), which also takes place in Turkish biology curriculum since 2007, is an effective instructional method that facilitates acquisition of objectives of curriculum in conceptual, procedural and contextual means. However, HOS is a new field for teachers. Teachers have a crucial role in enactment of curriculum objectives therefore their perceptions on HOS is important. In this study perception of future biology teachers on using HOS in instruction was examined. 25 pre-service biology teachers were participated to the study. Data was collected by The Teachers‟ Views about Perceptions and Practices regarding HOS Integration Questionnaire was used which was developed by Wang and Marsh (2002) and translated into Turkish by Hacieminoglu et. al (2012). Semi-structured interviews were conducted for gathering detailed data. SPSS 15 was employed for descriptive analysis of quantitative data and qualitative data was coded with respect to items of the questionnaire. Findings show that biology teachers perceptions regarding the use of HOS is mostly conceptual and then contextual, and they take HOS as supportive and concentrator resource for related concepts
