Abstract:

This research was carried out with the aim of determining the teachers' perceptions of the critical leadership style of primary school directors. The research was carried out in the scan model of quantum research. In the study; 2022-2023 educational year forms 163 teachers selected according to the easy-to-access sample method working in the primary schools of Ankara or Chankaya district. The data collection tool used in the research consists of two sections, the "Personal Information Form" developed by the researcher and the "Critical Leadership Style Scale". The scale consists of four dimensions: "open mind and flexibility", "critical decision making and action", "research and communication", "focus on development and decision making". The data is analyzed through a statistical analysis program. Recognizing that data sets show normal distribution, data sets were analyzed according to the parametric analysis method. According to the participating teachers' perceptions, the level of perception of the critical leadership style of the primary school directors is medium. Participating teachers perceive school managers at a high level in the dimensions of "open mind and flexibility", "creative decision making and action", "research and communication", "focus on development and decision making". Teacher perceptions about the critical leadership style of primary school managers are not different by the gender, professional age, education level, and the variables of the civil state of teachers.
