Osmanlı devlet adamları, devletin farklı kademelerindeki görevlerinin yanı sıra şair kimlikleri ile de öne çıkmışlardır. Medreselerde ve(ya) birer saray okulu olan Enderun’da yetişen bu kişiler, kaleme aldıkları şiirleriyle edebiyat tarihinin birer halkasını oluştururlar. Bu kişilerden biri de XVIII. yüzyıl şairlerinden Mâcid’dir. Asıl adı Mahmut olan şairin, kaynaklarda doğum tarihi ve yeri ile ilgili bir bilgiye rastlanmamıştır. Enderun’da yetişmiş olan Mâcid, sır kâtibi, miftâh ağalığı, kapıcıbaşılık, kapıcılar kethüdalığı ve kaptanıderyalık görevlerinde bulunmuştur. Son görevi olan kaptanıderyalıktan azledilerek (1746) Midilli’ye sürgün edilmiştir. Ölüm tarihi kesin bilinmemekle beraber Tuhfe-i Naili’de 1159/1747 kaydı vardır. Şairin herhangi bir eseri olduğuna dair bilgi yoktur ancak Ahmet Refî’a, Ebubekir Ağa Mecmuası’ndaki 4 şiirini kaydetmiştir. Buna ilaveten Mâcid’in başka şiirlerine Topkapı Sarayı Müzesi Kütüphanesi Hazine Kitaplığı 1127’de kayıtlı mecmuada tesadüf edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada ilgili mecmua hakkında bilgi verilmiş ve ardından Mâcid’in tespit edilen şiirleri tanıtılmıştır.
The Ottoman state men, in addition to their duties in the different stages of the state, have emerged with their poets’ identities. These people who grow up in the Medreses and (or) a palace school in Enderun, with the poems they get in the pen, form a circle of literary history. One of them is the 18th. The poet of the century. The poet, who is the real name Mahmut, has not found any information about his birth date and place in the sources. In addition to this, the other poems of Mâcid were accidentally recorded in the Topkapı Palace Museum Library of the Treasury Library in 1127 . In this study, information was given about the mecmua and then the poems identified by Mâcid were introduced.
