Türk romanında batılılaşma sorunu ve bu sorunun romanımıza yansıması ile ilgili yapılar araştırmalara yeni bir pencere açma çabası içerisinde olan bu araştırmada, batılılaşma sürecinin hız kazandığı yıllarda kaleme alınan Ömer Seyfettin\'in Efruz Bey, Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu\'nun Kiralık Konak ve Reşat Nuri Güntekin\'in Yaprak Dökümü romanlarında batılılaşma macerasının romanlarımıza yansıması ve bu maceranın etraflarında şekillenmesini sağlayan tipler ele alınmıştır. Eserlerde ana kurguya bağlı olarak romanın merkezini oluşturan tiplerin birbirleriyle olan ilişkileri, ortak ve farklı yönleri değerlendirilmiştir.

Abstract:

This work is an attempt to open a new window for research on the problem of westernization and its reflection on Turkish novels. The characters that reflected the modernization adventure on Turkish novels such as Omer Seyfettin\'s Efruz Bey, Yakup Kadri\'s Kiralık Konak and Reşat Nuri Güntekin\'s Yaprak Dökümü, are discussed. These novels were writen in a period during which the modernization process accelerated. The relationships among these characters, which are in the center of the novels in connection with the main fiction and their common and different attributes, are also evaluated.
