21. yüzyılda yaşanan değişme ve gelişmeler toplumsal hayatta bireylerarası iletişim ve ilişkinin de yoğunlaşmasına neden olmaktadır. Bu arada, aile ve toplum içinde yaşayan çocuk genç ve yetişkinlerin sorunları giderek çoğalmakta, yeni sorumluluklar ve beklentiler ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu değişim karşısında aile kurumunun güçlendirilmesi büyük önem taşımakta bu nedenle de aile yaşantısı eğitimi programlarının geliştirilmesine ve bu programların işlerlik kazanmasına ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Aile yaşantısı eğitimi, aile bireyleri olarak kişilerin bugünkü ve gelecekteki rollerinde rehber olmak üzere planlanmış bir eğitimdir. Aile yaşantısı eğitiminin amacı, birey ve ailelerin yeni koşullara uyum sağlamasını kolaylaştırmak, yaşam kalitesinin geliştirilmesi ve güçlendirilmesi için gerekli bilgi ve becerileri kazanmalarını sağlamaktır. Bu konuda yapılan çalışmalar; aile yaşantısı eğitiminin aile bireyleri üzerindeki etkileri, evlilik, eşler arası ilişkiler, çocuk gelişimi, gençliğin yetişkinliğe hazırlanması, yaşlı ana-baba yetişkin çocuk ilişkileri, kültürel değişimlerin aile üzerindeki etkileri gibi konular üzerinde yoğunlaşmaktadır. Eğitim programlarının geliştirilmesi ve bu programların değerlendirilmesi aile yaşantısı eğitimi açısından önemli bir nokta olmakla birlikte üzerinde daha az durulan konular arasındadır. Bu çalışmada aile yaşantısı eğitiminin amacı ve önemi vurgulanmaya çalışılmış ve son yıllarda aile yaşantısı eğitimiyle ilgili yapılan araştırmalara yer verilmiştir.
The changes and developments in the 21st century have led to the concentration of interpersonal communication and relationships in social life. Meanwhile, the problems of children living in the family and society are increasingly multiplied by young people and adults, new responsibilities and expectations arise. In the face of this change, the strengthening of the family institution is of great importance, and therefore it is necessary to develop the family life education programs and to gain workforce. Family life education is a planned education to guide individuals as family individuals in their present and future roles. The purpose of family life education is to facilitate individuals and families to adapt to new conditions, to ensure that they acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to improve and strengthen quality of life. The study focuses on the effects of family life education on family individuals, marriage, inter-marriage relationships, child development, youth preparation for adulthood, older parents and adult children relationships, the effects of cultural changes on the family. The development of educational programs and the evaluation of these programs are an important point in terms of family life education, but are among the less focused topics. This study has been aimed at emphasizing the purpose and importance of family life education and has been included in recent years research on family life education.
As a result of the changes and developments of the 21st century, interpersonal communication and relation in the social life intensifies. Meanwhile, the problems of children, youth and adults living in the family and society are gradually increasing and new responsibilities and expectations are emerging. In the face of this change, reinforcement of the family institution is of considerable importance; hence there is a need to develop family life education programs so that they would become functional. Family life education is an education planned so as to guide individuals as family members in their roles today and in the future. The aim of the family life education is to provide individuals and families with necessary knowledge and skills in order to pave the way for their adapting to new conditions while also improving their quality of life. Studies on this subject are concetrated on the issues such as the effect of family life education on family members, marriage, relationships between spouses, child development, youth preparation for adulthood, parent-teen relationships, effects of cultural changes on the family. Even though the improvement and the use of education programs is important with regard to the family life education, it is among the issues much less emphasized. In this study, the aim and the significance of the family life education is emphasized and researches conducted in recent years about the family life education are explored.
