Göç, zamansal ve mekânsal boyutu bulunan dinamik bir olgudur. Göç, ilkel zamanda açlık, barınma, kuraklık, deprem ve sel gibi doğal afetlerin etkisiyle yaşadıkları coğrafyayı değiştirmek zorunda kalan insan topluluklarının sosyal, siyasi, kültürel, ekonomik ve demografik değişimlerini ortaya koymaktadır. Sürekli ve değişen bir yapıya sahip göç olgusu, çok boyutlu sosyal değişim ve dönüşüm sürecini yansıtmaktadır. Göç hareketlerini ön plana çıkaran unsur, göçün insanların umut, sevinç, acı ve beklentilerini yansıtmasından kaynaklanmadır. İçerisinde insan yaşamında dair unsurlar barındıran göçler, göç alanlar, göç edenler ve göçe tanıklık edenler gibi çok taraflı aktörler meydana getirebilmektedir. Toplumsal değişmenin temelini oluşturan bu göç hareketliliği süreci, bölgeler arasında kültürel ve sosyal değişim ve gelişimleri de beraberinde getirebilmektedir. Göç sadece belli bir zaman için bir ya da birden çok insan topluluğunun sadece coğrafi olarak yer değiştirmesi değil, beraberinde sosyal, kültürel, ekonomik bir çeşitliliği ve toplumsal değişimi de içerisinde barındıran bir dönüşüm sürecini yansıtmaktadır. Göç hareketliliğini bu denli önemli kılan, toplumsal yapıları, toplumsal yaşamı ve kurumların yapısında köklü değişikliklere yol açabilme potansiyeli olmuştur. Bu sebeple göçlerin hacimleri, mesafeleri, özellikleri değiştiğinde farklı göç tanımları ortaya çıkabilmektedir. Araştırma nitel özelliklere sahip olmakla beraber araştırmada literatür taramasına dayalı betimsel analiz modeli kullanılmıştır. Bu bakımdan göç ve göç teorileriyle ilgili yapılmış çalışmalar sistematik biçimde incelenerek bulgular, yorum ve değerlendirmeleri sentezlenerek sosyolojik çerçevede yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmada göç teorileri üzerine bir literatür taraması yapılarak göç hareketlerinin arkasındaki dinamiklerin neler olduğu tespit edilmeye çalışılmış, göç hareketlerine bütüncül ve makro düzeyde bir bakış açısı sunulmuştur. Araştırmada göç hareketleri tarihsel bir perspektifte makro, mezo ve mikro düzeyde incelenmiş, göç konusuna sosyal, ekonomik, tarihsel ve kültürel açıdan farklı bir pencereden yorum getirilmiştir. Mevcut çalışmanın literatüre düşünsel ve teorik olarak zenginlik katacağı düşünülmektedir.
Migration is a dynamic phenomenon with a temporal and spatial dimension. Migration reveals the social, political, cultural, economic and demographic changes of human communities that were forced to change the geography they lived in due to the effects of natural disasters such as hunger, housing, drought, earthquake and flood in primitive times. The phenomenon of migration, which has a continuous and changing structure, reflects the multidimensional process of social change and transformation. The element that brings migration movements to the forefront is that migration reflects people's hope, joy, pain and expectations. Migrations, which contain elements related to human life, can create multilateral actors such as those who receive migration, those who migrate and those who witness migration. This process of migration mobility, which forms the basis of social change, can also bring about cultural and social changes and Decelerations between regions. Migration reflects not only the geographical displacement of one or more human communities for a certain period of time, but also a transformation process that includes social, cultural, economic diversity and social change. What makes migration mobility so important is its potential to lead to fundamental changes in the structure of social structures, social life and institutions. For this reason, when the volumes, distances and characteristics of migrations change, different definitions of migration may arise. Although the research has qualitative characteristics, a descriptive analysis model based on literature review was used in the research. In this regard, the studies conducted on migration and migration theories have been systematically examined and the findings, comments and evaluations have been synthesized and interpreted within a sociological framework. In the research, a literature review on migration theories was conducted to determine what the dynamics behind migration movements are, and a holistic and macro-level perspective on migration movements was presented. In this research, migration movements have been examined at macro, meso and micro levels from a historical perspective, and an interpretation of migration from a different window from a social, economic, historical and cultural point of view has been introduced. It is thought that the current study will add intellectual and theoretical richness to the literature.
