Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to identify the metaphors of social information teachers candidates to the teaching practice stakeholders. The research has been developed in the scientific model of research methods. The research study group consists of 22 (11 women, 11 men) teachers candidates from the last class of social information teaching who are studying at a state university in the 2018-2019 educational year. The data of the study was collected in a question form consisting of nine open end questions prepared in accordance with the expert opinions. The data obtained was analyzed by content analysis. When we evaluate the results of the study in general, it has been seen that teachers candidates have developed positive metaphors for "application schools, internship teachers, responsible teachers, theoretical courses, internship reports and internship colleagues". However, it can be said that teachers’ candidates have developed metaphors in the negative direction towards “application guidelines and evaluation criteria”. According to the results of the study, it may be recommended to intervene with the teacher candidates on the stakeholders they have developed negative metaphors.
