Ahmed Midhat imzalı İlm-i İçtimâ'a Ait Takrirler başlıklı kitap, Medresetü’l Mütehassisîn Felsefe Şubesinde okutulan sosyoloji dersine ait notlardan oluşmaktadır. 1331/1915 tarihli bu kitabın, iki önemli sosyoloğun sosyolojide araştırma yöntem ve tekniklerinden bahseden eserlerinden bazı bölümlerin tercümesi olması sosyoloji tarihimiz açısından önem arz etmektedir. 64 sayfa ve tamamlanmamış olsa da E. Durkheim’ın Les Règles de la Méthode Sociologique (1895) ve R. Worms’un Philosophie des sciences sociales: Méthode des sciences sociales (1904) eserlerinden kısımlar içeren bu ders notları ilgi çekicidir. Zira Durkheim’ın eserinin tam çevirisi ilk kez 1943 yılında yapılmıştır ve Worms’un eserinin çevirisi bulunmamaktadır. Bu sebeple uzviyetçi toplum görüşleriyle Osmanlı aydınları arasında tanınan Worms’un Sosyolojide Yöntem kitabından kesitlerin transkripsiyonunu sunmanın faydalı olacağını düşünmekteyiz.
The book titled Ait Takrirler to Ilm-i İçtimâ, signed by Ahmed Midhat, consists of notes of the class of sociology taught in the Medresetü'l Mütehassisîn Philosophy Branch. This book, dated 1331/1915, is a translation of some of the works of two major sociologists on the methods and techniques of research in sociology, which is important for our sociology history. Although it is 64 pages and not completed, these curriculum notes are interesting, including parts of E. Durkheim’s Les Règles de la Méthode Sociologique (1895) and R. Worms’s Philosophie des sciences sociales: Méthode des sciences sociales (1904) works. The full translation of Zira Durkheim's work was first made in 1943 and Worms' work has no translation. That is why we think it would be useful to present a transcription of the pieces from the Worms' Method in Sociology book, known among the sovereign social opinions and the Ottoman lights.
