Abstract:

In Beyoğlu / Pera region, which has a significant place in the historical development process, the changes and innovations experienced in many areas with the 19th century westernization period directly affected the architecture. The multi-storey residential buildings that have emerged during this period in the region have started to be built as kargir and have mostly survived to the present day. When the current situation is considered, it is seen that the use of these structures with incompatible and unhealthy functions as a result of differentiation of the population living in the region due to social, cultural and economic reasons, causes conservation of street and neighborhood scale and causing damage to existing tissue integrity. The first step of effective conservation is to document the cultural assets to be preserved and to document and document the buildings in the study area and to protect them in a holistic way by integrating them in a modern way. To address Beyoglu district, Kuloğlu Quarter, 480 and 476 numbered structure TUBA island in conduit with high-Turkey Cultural Inventory Project in accordance with the principles specified in the manual; Documentation studies have been started by using two separate urban architecture inventory receipts in the settlement and building scale, which already includes evaluation system. A total of 41 parcels were placed in the settlement and settlement. Sketch and photo album belonging to each plot are given in inventory annexes as independent files. As a result of the inventory study, the "physical" and "functional specificity" criteria questioned in the papers were evaluated with tables and graphs, the deterioration rates in the existing texture integrity were explained, and the importance of a holistic approach and integrating the heritage into contemporary life has been emphasized.
