OBJECTIVE: : In the current research, it was aimed to determine effectiveness of "Healthy Life Style Behaviours" course which was conducted for university students on their health behaviors. METHODS: The research was designed as semi-experimental in pre-test and post-test control group order and no sample calculation was preferred, students who were taking lessons from common lecture repository of university and volunteer to take part in research (N=86) were included to sample. 35 students registered to "Healthy Life Style Behaviors" course were included to experimental group and 51 students registered to other course were included to control group. While gathering data, "Personal Data Form" prepared by researchers and "Healthy Life Style Behaviors Scale" were used. Pre-education forms were applied to students and 2 weeks later after the education which took 12 weeks, the scale application was repeated. RESULTS: For the both "Healthy Life Style Behaviours Scale" and its subscales there was no found a significant difference between pre-test scores of study group and control group (p>0,05). When pre-test and post-test scale scores of experimental group compared, it was found that Health Responsibility (t=-2,958;p=0,006), Physical Activity (t=-2,323;p=0,026) and Nutrition (t=-5,295;p=0,001) sub-dimension scores of students were significantly higher after the education. When post-test scores of study and control groups compared, it was found that "Nutrition" sub-dimension scores of study group students were significantly higher (t=3,464;p=0,001). DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: It was cocluded that " Healthy Life Style Behaviours Course" effects university students positively especially for nutrition field.
