Açık ve Uzaktan Öğrenme Anlatılarının Yaşam Boyu Öğrenme Kapsamında İncelenmesi

Abstract:

Bilginin gelişimin, değişimin temel unsuru olduğu günümüzde bilgi ekolojisinde hayatta kalabilmek ve yaşanan değişime uyum sağlayabilmek için yaşam boyu öğrenme önemli bir kavram olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu bağlamda bu araştırmanın genel amacı, açık ve uzaktan öğrenme ortamındaki deneyimlerinin öğrenenlerin yaşam boyu öğrenme sürecine nasıl katkı sağladığının incelenmesidir. Bu amaç kapsamında nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan anlatı araştırması tercih edilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında öğrenenlerin açık ve uzaktan öğrenme ortamı olan Açıköğretim Sistemi içindeki deneyimleri ve öğrenme süreçlerine ilişkin anlattıkları hikayeler tercih edilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Açıköğretim Sistemi öğrenenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada öğrenenlerden elde edilen 2700 hikayeden yaşam boyu öğrenme teması altında 31 tanesi seçilmiş ve bu hikayeler yaşam boyu öğrenme bağlamında analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre öğrenenlerin yaşam boyu öğrenme süreçlerine etki eden hususlar motivasyon, kişisel gelişim, mesleki gelişim, sosyalleşme ve öz-yönetim olarak belirlenmiştir.

Reviews of open and remote learning stories in the lifelong learning scope

In today’s conditions, where knowledge is the fundamental element of development and change, lifelong learning has emerged as a valuable concept in order to survive and adapt to the change in information ecology. In this context, the main purpose of this research is to examine how experiences of learners in the open and distance learning environment contribute to learners' lifelong learning process. For this purpose, narrative research, one of the methods of qualitative research, has been conducted. Within the scope of the research, learners' experiences and stories related to learning processes within the Open Education System, which is an open and distance learning environment, were used. In this regard, the working group of the research consists of learners in Open and Distance Learning System. A total of 31 stories out of 2700 learners were selected and those under the theme of lifelong learning were analyzed in the context of lifelong learning. According to the research findings, issues affecting learners' lifelong learning processes are identified as motivation, personal development, professional development, socialization and self-directed behavior.
