Abstract:

İsmail Paşa was an important officer in Ottoman fiscal administration who was comissioned as a defterdâr. He took lots of decision on Ottoman fiscal administration while he was defterdâr. Then he was charged as Muhassıl of Aydın Muhassıllık of Aydın was founded at last decades of 17'1 ' Century. The mairı aim of this fiscal unit was to collect the iltizam taxes of mîrî mukataas and to deliver these to the state treasure. When İsmail Paşa died in Turgutlu, his heritage was registered Manisa Kadı Sicils. This heritage is very. irıterestiııg because it is concerning an Ottoman Pasha who died in charge
