Öğretmenlerine Göre Ortaokul Din, Ahlak ve Değerler Alanı Seçmeli Derslerinde Karşılaşılan Sorunlar: Nitel Bir Araştırma

Bu araştırmanın amacı ortaokul din, ahlak ve değerler alanı seçmeli derslerinde karşılaşılan sorunların öğretmen görüşleri doğrultusunda incelenmesidir. Nitel araştırma modelinde yapılandırılan araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2018-2019 öğretim yılında Malatya il merkezinde çeşitli ortaokullarda görev yapan ve seçmeli din derslerini okutan 24 DKAB öğretmeni oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formları kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Betimsel analiz yöntemiyle çözümlenen bu veriler ışığında araştırmada elde edilen bazı sonuçlar şu şekildedir: Araştırmaya katılan öğretmenlerin çoğunluğu seçmeli din derslerinin yürütülmesinde öğrenci, öğretmen, veli ve okul yönetiminden kaynaklı çeşitli sorunlara işaret etmiştir. Katılımcılara göre seçmeli derslerin seçim sürecine veli ve öğrenci görüşleri yeterince yansıtılamamaktadır. Ayrıca seçmeli din dersleri için yeterli sayıda öğretmen olmasına rağmen öğretmen yeterliliği istenen düzeyde değildir.

According to their teachers, the field of religion, ethics and values faces problems in the selectively taught classes: a qualitative research

Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the problems faced in the elective classes in the field of high school religion, ethics and values in accordance with the teacher's opinions. The research work group, structured in the quality research model, formed 24 DKAB teachers working in various secondary schools in the center of the province of Malatya in the 2018-2019 academic year and studying elective religious courses. In the study, the data was collected using semi-configured conversation forms. In light of these data analyzed by the visual analysis method, some of the results obtained in the research are as follows: the majority of the teachers involved in the research pointed out the various problems arising from the student, teacher, guardian and school management in the conduct of selectively religious courses. According to the participants, the values and students' opinions are not sufficiently reflected in the selection process of selected courses. Even though there is sufficient number of teachers for selective religious courses, the teacher’s qualification is not at the desired level.

The aim of this research is to examine the problems encountered in secondary school religion, morality and values elective courses in accordance with the opinions of teacher. The research is structured in a qualitative research model. The working group of this research consists of 24 DKAB teachers who worked in various secondary schools and taught elective religion courses in Malatya province center during the 2018-2019 academic year. The data in the study was collected using semi-structured interview forms. The majority of the teachers pointed to various problems arising from student, teacher, parent and school administration in the conduct of elective religious courses. According to the participants, parents and students’ opinions are not adequately reflected in the selection process of the elective courses. In addition, although there are sufficient number of teachers for elective religious courses, teacher proficiency is not at the desired level.
