The state of Rio Grande do Sul (southern Brazil) has a large part of the Guarani Aquifer, having a recharge area located in its central and western region, hence, this work was focused in the municipality of Santa Cruz do Sul. By the year of 2022, there is no water resources plan in the state, and, for this reason, it is wanted to evaluate the hydrogeochemical, some geophysical properties and geological characteristics of the aquifer recharge region. Therefore, some field data have been gathered, including chemical analysis of water in different wells and geophysical surveys in refraction seismic and geoelectrical methods. In addition, geological information was obtained from the public database named Groundwater Information System (SIAGAS). With all these data, it was proceeded to make different mapping of chemical parameters to perceive the concentrations of some elements in the Santa Cruz do Sul. On the other hand, the refraction seismic data and geoelectric method were processed and interpreted, concatenating all these results with the geology obtained from SIAGAS wells. By means of geological data it was mapped the different existing formations and the static level of Guarani Aquifer. As result, it was found a high concentration of lead in the region, also a possible aquifer by means of geophysical methods, which could be used for human, agropastoral or industrial after treatments.
