Abstract:

The year 1952 was a summit in the Turkish-Greek relations. If it is necessary to make mutual visits between the two countries, the statements reflected in the press are the concrete evidence of this. Maybe these two countries have established closer relationships to each other than they have ever been in their history. Moreover, the view of being "a state" has been expressed by various circles. The Trakya newspaper, which has been broadcast to the Western Trakya Turks in Greece this year, has tried to communicate the developments to readers as much as possible. The fact that Osman Nuri Fettahoğlu, the owner and director of the Trakya newspaper, was a member of the parliament in 1952 and was sometimes involved in the contacts between the two countries, increased the importance of the Trakya newspaper once more. This article examined the approach of the 1952 Turkish-Greek relations of the Trakya newspaper, which was the owner and director of Osman Nuri Fettahoğlu.
