Abstract:

Scientists, 20 In the century, literature has shown its influence in its studies significantly, and it has become inevitable that it is subject to the study of visual culture in the field of architecture. Questioning how the connection between man and the world occurs, "semiyology" has begun to take its place as an important discipline in communication studies. "Semiyology", which means "representation", plays a key role in this study, and space analysis is carried out through materials related to visual culture such as cartoons, paintings, articles. In this context, the aim of the study is to provide a different perspective on the reading of space in the interior architecture, using semiyology as a source. Because the place exists with man and is understood by experience. Therefore, every image given to the user gets semiyological importance. Semiyology is explained in the form of the individual’s ability to perceive, understand and interact with the environment in the life practice; in particular, the “metaphorization” which plays an effective role in visual communication studies reveals new meanings charged on objects. With the conduct of these research, semiyology used as a communication tool offers a new field of study to evaluate the design process from different perspectives. The main objective of this study is to contain semiotics, defined as the method of study, meaning-oriented to visual culture and to analyze subjects such as "connection" - "sensity load" - "memory". By studying the texts related to the different terms contained within this concept, the discovery of the meanings found in the background of the space is an important place in this study.
