İlkokullardaki Destek Eğitim Odası Uygulamasına İlişkin Sınıf Öğretmenlerinin Görüşleri Hakkında Bir Araştırma

“Destek Eğitim Odası (DEO)” uygulaması özel gereksinimli öğrencilerin ya da özel yetenekli öğrencilerin eğitimlerine devam ederken belirli derslerde sınıftan alınarak birebir eğitilmesi şeklinde gerçekleştirilen, öğrencilerin akademik ve sosyal gelişimlerini sağlamaya yönelik bir uygulamadır. Bu çalışma özel gereksinimli öğrencilere odaklanmıştır. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın amacı, Ordu ili Ünye ilçesinde DEO bulunan ilkokullarda, zihinsel yetersizliğe sahip öğrencilere DEO’nda verilen eğitim hizmetlerine ilişkin öğretmenlerin görüşlerini tespit etmektir. Araştırma, DEO bulunan üç ilkokulda, DEO’nda destek eğitimi veren sekiz öğretmenin gönüllü katılımıyla yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada veri toplama tekniği olarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmış, veriler yüz yüze görüşmeler yolu ile toplanmıştır. Toplanan verilerin analizinde betimsel analiz ve içerik analizi teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada ulaşılan sonuçlar frekans tablolarında özetlenerek yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmada ulaşılan sonuçlardan en dikkat çekici olanları okullarda DEO bulunmaması, DEO uygulamasında pekiştireç kullanıldığı, öğrencinin özel gereksiniminin türünün DEO uygulamasının sonucunu doğrudan etkilediği ve DEO’nda verilen eğitimde veli desteği olan öğrencilerde daha fazla ilerleme sağlandığı yönündedir.

A research on the opinions of classmates about the application of the support training room in primary schools

Abstract:

The application "Support Training Room (DEO)" is an application aimed at ensuring the academic and social development of students, which is performed in the form of individual education by taking from the classroom in certain courses while continuing the training of special needs students or special talented students. This study is focused on special-need students. In this context, the purpose of the research is to identify the opinions of teachers about the educational services provided in the DEO for students with mental disabilities in the primary schools located in the Army or the district of Unnye. The research was carried out with the voluntary participation of eight teachers who supported the training in the three primary schools located in the DEO. The research used a semi-configured conversation technique as a data collection technique, the data was collected through face-to-face conversations. In the analysis of the collected data, visual analysis and content analysis techniques have been used. The results of the study were summarized in the frequency tables. The most remarkable of the results achieved in the study is that there is no DEO in schools, the use of reinforcements in the DEO application, the kind of special requirement of the student directly affects the result of the DEO application, and the further progress is provided in students who have the assistant support in the education given in the DEO.

“Resource Education Rooms (RER)” is put into practice by taking special need students or special talened students from some of their lesson to be given one to training providing them a better social and academic development. This study is focused on special needs of students. In this context the aim of this research is to determine the opinions of teachers, regarding the quality of service provided in the RER settings, who were giving instructions to special need students in primary schools which has RER in the district of Ünye. This research was conducted with the voluntary participation of eight teachers who were giving instruction in three primary schools that had RER. As a data collecting methods semi-structured interview technique had been used in the research and the data had been gathered via face to face interviews. Descriptive analysis and content analysis techniques are used in collected data analysis. The results obtained in the study are summarized in frequency tables and interpreted. The most striking results of the research are as follows; lack of RER in schools, reinforcement is used in the RER application, the type of student's special requirement directly affects the result of the RER practice and more progress is made in the RER for students with parent support.
