Abstract:

Eğitim, yalnızca okulla sınırlandırılamayacak kadar geniş kapsamlı bir kurumdur. Bununla birlikte eğitim kurumu deyince akla gelen okul, bireylerin yaşamları boyunca edinecekleri pek çok becerinin de verilmesi bakımından oldukça değerlidir. K12 süreci bu becerilerin edinilmesi hususunda oldukça değerli yıllardır. Özellikle toplumsal değişim ve dönüşüm de göz önünde bulundurulduğunda K12 sürecinin sürekli güncel kalması gerekmektedir. Nitekim 21. yy. becerileri olarak adlandırılan “Bilgi ve Teknoloji Okuryazarlığı, Eleştirel Düşünme ve Problem Çözme, Girişimcilik ve İnovasyon, Sosyal Sorumluluk- Liderlik ve Kariyer Bilinci” öğrencilerin iş yaşamına atılmadan önce edinmelerinin oldukça önemli olduğu becerilerdir. Bu amaçla çalışmamızda üniversite öğrencilerine “Çok Boyutlu 21. yy. Ölçeği” uygulanarak K12 süreci ve üniversite süreçlerinin karşılaştırılması yapılmıştır. Bu sayede K12’de eksik ya da geliştirilmesi gereken beceriler ortaya çıkmıştır. Araştırma verileri ışığında önerilerde bulunarak alana katkı sağlamak amaçlanmıştır.

Education is a comprehensive institution that cannot be limited to school alone. However, the school that comes to mind when it comes to educational institution is very valuable in terms of giving many skills that individuals will acquire throughout their lives. The K12 process is a very valuable year for acquiring these skills. Especially considering social change and transformation, the K12 process needs to be kept up-to-date. Indeed, in the 21st century. “Information and Technology Literacy, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Social Responsibility - Leadership and Career Awareness”, which are called as skills, are very important skills for students to acquire before they enter business life. For this purpose, in our study, “Multidimensional 21st century. The K12 process and university processes were compared by applying the “Scale”. In this way, skills that are missing or need to be developed in K12 have emerged. It is aimed to contribute to the field by making suggestions in the light of research data.
