Abstract:

Home health care is to provide examination, treatment and rehabilitation services for patients who have become dependent on others in performing their daily living activities due to chronic or malignant diseases by a professional medical team in their home environment. Home health care is offered in a wide range, from baseline to addictive conditions due to neurological deficits, from chronic lung pathologies to terminal stage cancer patients, neonatal yellow to advanced muscle diseases. The goal of home health services is to protect and improve the health of patients, to enable them to use their functional capacity at the maximum level and to improve the quality of life of patients and caregivers. Family physicians who provide primary health care are responsible for identifying people who need home health care within their registered population and regularly visiting in their home. In this review, the definition, history and scope of home health services will be discussed. Home health care is the provision of examination, examination, treatment and rehabilitation services to patients who become dependent on their daily life activities due to chronic or malignant diseases by a professional health team in their own home environments. The family doctors who provide health care in the first stage are responsible for identifying the persons who will need health care at home within their registered population and to conduct regular home visits. This collection will focus on the definition, history and scope of health care services at home.
