Abstract:

The developing Turkey obliged to consume more energy each year due to population growth, rising standards of living, industrialization and orientation to the new technologies. Although Turkeys energy sources are diversified, current primary energy stocks fail to meet the demand. Due to insufficient reserves, net energy importer Turkey is dependent on foreign energy. Turkey, perceiving nuclear energy as a source of alternative energy, aims to reduce its energy dependence by the way of constructing of nuclear power plant. This study emphasized that Turkeys dependence on Russia will increase with the shifting the nuclear power plant
