Feminism, for the first time, began as social and political movements that women, along with the 18th century enlightenment period, developed to seek their own rights in the social field. Feminism can be described as the struggles given to the social home in the political arena against the gender inequality in each area. However, feminist movements have shown different qualities of collecting from society. Feminism in Turkish history began to be felt in the last period of the Ottoman state, and it appeared clearly in the early Republican period. At that time, the Turkish feminist movement had a national function, which would enable women to participate more in the social and political life for the National Government, mainly around the Turkish Women's Union. After the 1970s, Turkish feminism was radically transformed by the ideological fluctuations of the Earth, and was largely reduced to a device that left liberal movements used against national values and culture under the name of women's freedom. However, in recent years, emerging community-based early Republican era of mass women's movement in Turkey is clearly observed that the effects of the feminist struggle of Turkish women.
