In the study, cadmium sulphur (CdS) n-type semiconductor material was produced on glass substrates with the ultrasonic spray pyrolysis (USP) system. Production was carried out by gradually increasing the underground temperature between 100 - 350 °C during the film covering process. After production, a group of CdS thin films are coated at a temperature of 380 °C in the atmosphere. CdS thin films produced and drawn; crystal structures are determined by the Grazing Incidence X-Ray Diffraction X radiation breakdown (GIXRD) method, surface structures and morphologies scan electronic microscope (SEM) and atomic power microscope (AFM) systems, the proportions of the elements in the structure are determined by the energy-distributed spectrometer (EDS) system and the optical characteristics by the ultra-violet visible area spectrometer (Uv-Vis) measurements. According to the results of this measurement, CdS thin films can be produced at a time-changing sub-temperature, the film surfaces are very homogeneously formed, the results obtained by each measurement method support each other and these results are also compatible with literature. The CdS used as a tampon layer in half-layer devices is produced while there is also a production strategy to prevent the oxidation of other layers caused by high temperature applied during the pyrolysis process.
In this study, cadmium sulfide (CdS) n-type semiconductor material was produced on glass substrates by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis system (USP). During the deposition process of the films, production was realized by gradually increasing the substrate temperature between 100 - 350 °C. After production, a group of samples from CdS thin films were annealed in atmosphere ambiance at 380 °C. To define the crystal structure, surface morphology, elemental composition, and electro-optical properties of as deposited and annealed CdS films; grazing incidence X-Ray diffraction (GIXRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS), and Uv-Vis spectrometer systems were used, respectively. It was seen that the results obtained from the characterization systems supported each other and these results were consistent with the literature. In addition, it was seen that pyrolysis method is a method preventing oxidation of the other layers by CdS which is produced as tampon layer in the semiconductor devices during this process resulting from high temperature.
