Abstract:

The developments in the information sector have facilitated access to information and provided significant benefits to people. But the changing and developing technological possibilities in the field of information have revealed new types of crime and made it more difficult to protect information. As in all fields, the legal regulations that exist in the field of the information industry on crimes have remained insufficient in the fight against rapidly changing methods of computer crimes. In particular, the lack of awareness and awareness about the protection of personal data, in combination with insufficient and unresistant legislation, becomes more difficult to prevent crimes.  However, in our country, the necessary laws for combating such crimes have not been established and implemented at the same speed. This study focused on a critical point of view on existing laws for the fight against cyber crime and the protection of personal data; the qualifications were questioned and proposed legal solutions.
