ÖĞRETİM TEKNOLOJİLERİ ALANINDA KARMA YÖNTEM ÇALIŞMALARI ANALİZİ: 2005-2015 ARASI

Abstract:

Bu çalışmada öğretim teknolojileri alanında yayınlanan sosyal bilimler atıf indeksi Social Science Citation Index SSCI veritabanı kapsamında yer alan dört uluslararası dergideki Computers & Education, British Journal of Educational Technology, Educational Technology & Society ve Educational Technology Research & Development Türkiye adresli makalelerde, karma araştırma yönteminin kullanımına yönelik içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Belirtilen dört dergide öğretim teknolojileri alanında 2005-2015 yılları arasında Türkiye’de yapılmış ve araştırma yöntemi olarak “karma yöntem” kullanan çalışmalar belirli değişkenler açısından incelenmiştir. Kapsama dâhil olarak incelenen 112 makaleden 22 tanesinde karma araştırma yöntemi kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Çalışma sonuçlarına göre karma araştırma yönteminin yer aldığı çalışmaların en çok Computers & Education ve Educational Technology & Society dergilerinde yayınlandığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Çalışmalarda karma araştırma yöntemi kullanılmasının öncelikli gerekçesinin çeşitleme olduğu belirlenmiştir. Karma yöntem araştırmalında en çok sıralı-açıklayıcı desen kullanıldığı ve çalışmaların çoğunun öğretmen adaylarıyla yapıldığı tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract:

This study was designed to make a content anaysis for the use of mixed method approach in the field of instructional technology. For this aim four Social Science Index SSCI journals Computers & Education, British Journal of Educational Technology, Educational Technology & Society and Educational Technology Research & Development were investigated between the years of 2005 to 2015. Turkey adressed articles which used “mixed method” approach published in these journals were investigated in terms of determined variables. 22 articles out of 112 were identified using mixed method approach were examined. Study results revealed most of the mixed method research articles published in Computers & Education and Educational Technology & Society Journals. The primary reason of using mixed method approach was determined as triangulation and explanatory sequential design was determined as the most preferred design type. Also study results showed that most of the studies were done with prospective teachers
