Music has been one of the most essential needs and interests in people's lives from primitive societies to modern people. Fine arts, especially music, are the food of the soul and can take individuals away from evil emotions and tendencies. Although fine art has a fascinating and influential power on people and societies, music has a special place. Nihat Kınıkoğlu reflects the function of fine art, especially music, in the construction of anti-war discourse in his play Bosna Song. Professor Branko considers the conservatory, which has been providing education service for nearly half a century, as a symbol of the art of peace and coexistence in the country; he struggles greatly for this purpose. The impact of racist discourse and actions from the past to the present is often felt later in art venues, and Branko's conservatory has always been a peaceful institution, prioritizing art. Therefore, the conservatory and the students there become the target of the Serbian gangs. In this article, the function and symbolic meaning attributed to music and conservatory in the c-onstruction of peaceful discourse among people from different races and religions in the Balkan geography in Bosnia Song are evaluated through the consideration of the political and social developments of the period.
