Companionate relations between Turks and Armenian societies, which had been living together for about a thousand years in Anatolia, began to deteriorate from the beginning of the 19th century and an Armenian issue emerged due to the influence created by the French nationalism on the Armenian society. Incidents which particularly emerged in Balkan territory had gained a legal international attribute as a result of the provacations of Russia, France and Britain with the Treaty of Ayastefanos (Yesilkoy) signed at the end of 1878-79 Ottoman Russian War. The Armenian community which did not welcomed their expectation in Berlin Treaty begun to establish armed forces and they would faced with the most broad law of dispatch and resettlement of the century. After that developments they would adressed created essential results in both national and international scale and this historical event which inherited after the Ottoman State collapsed has been one of the most important problems of the foreign policy of the new Turkish state. Armanian society tied up with the Turkish nation, characterised with the term of millet-i sadıka which means that “faithful nation”. In this article, it will be outlined how the reliable Armenian society, which has also undertaken very important duties in the Ottoman state administration, has become such a big part of the issue.
