Methylphenidate is a commonly used pharmacological agents in the treatment of pediatric patients with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). It is considered to be a relatively safe drug in therapeutic doses. Especially in the early days of the treatment of clinically non-significant risk free, mild blood pressure changes occur. Higher doses caused significant cardiac side effects have been reported in which the serious cardiac arrhythmias. These side effects are rare life-threatening consequences. Therefore it raises serious concerns in the physician during treatment. In this paper, we want to offer 8-year-old male patient who admitted to the emergency Mobitz type 1 AV block associated with the use of methylphenidate in order to contribute to the literature.
