Bu çalışma Gümüşhane Üniversitesi’nde hemşirelik bölümünde okuyan öğrencilerin, hemşirelik mesleğini geliştirmek için önerilerini değerlendirmek amacı ile tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır. Gerekli kurum izinleri alındıktan sonra çalışmaya gönüllü olarak katılmayı kabul eden, 242 hemşirelik öğrencisi ile görüşüldü. Veriler SPSS paket programında frekans ve ki kare testleri ile analiz edildi. Öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 20,91±1,82 (min:17, max:26) dir. Öğrencilerin %64’ü kadın, %94,6’sı çalışmıyor, %37,2’si 1. sınıftır. Öğrencilerin %71,1’i bölümü isteyerek seçmiş, %95’i mesleğini önemsemekte, %47,5’i güncel hemşirelik uygulamalarını ve girişimlerini takip ettiklerini belirtmişlerdir. Öğrencilerin bölümü isteyerek seçme ve mesleklerini önemseme durumları (X2:24,410, p:0,00), mesleği önemseme durumlarına göre güncel hemşirelik uygulama ve girişimlerini takip etme (X2:4,816, p:0,28), hemşirelik yönetmeliğini bilme ve mesleği önemseme (X2: 0,791, p:0,280) durumları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklar belirlendi. Katılımcıların %33,6’sı meslek motivasyonu için ödüllendirmenin gerekli olduğunu savunurken, %31’i mesleğin gelişimi için alana özgü eğitimlerin verilmesi gerektiğini ifade etmiştir. Son zamanlarda hemşirelik bölümünü öğrenciler isteyerek seçmekte ve mesleklerini önemsemektedirler. Ekip bilinci ile hemşirelik alanında branşlaşmanın ve örgütlenmenin sağlanması, kanıt temelli uygulamaları içeren hizmet içi eğitimlerin verilmesi mesleğin gelişmesi için önemli faktörlerdir. This study was conducted as an identifying study with the aim of evaluating the recommendations of students studying in the Nursing Department at Silverhane University to improve their nursing profession. After the required institution permits were received, 242 nursing students who agreed to participate voluntarily in the work were discussed. The data was analyzed in the SPSS package program with frequency and quarter tests. The average age of students is 20.91±1.82 (min:17, max:26) 64% of students are women, 94.6% are unemployed and 37.2% are first-class students. 71.1 percent of students have selected the department voluntarily, 95 percent are concerned about their profession, and 47.5 percent say they follow their current nursing practices and initiatives. A statistically meaningful difference was determined between the circumstances of voluntary selection and care for their professions (X2:24,410, p:0,00), the current practice and initiatives of nursing according to care for their professions (X2:4,816, p:0,28), the knowledge of nursing regulations and care for their professions (X2: 0,791, p:0,280). 33.6 percent of participants claim that reward is necessary for professional motivation, while 31 percent said that special training is necessary for the development of the profession.
