Özet:

This study was conducted as an identifying study with the aim of evaluating the recommendations of students studying in the Nursing Department at Silverhane University to improve their nursing profession. After the required institution permits were received, 242 nursing students who agreed to participate voluntarily in the work were discussed. The data was analyzed in the SPSS package program with frequency and quarter tests.  The average age of students is 20.91±1.82 (min:17, max:26) 64% of students are women, 94.6% are unemployed and 37.2% are first-class students. 71.1 percent of students have selected the department voluntarily, 95 percent are concerned about their profession, and 47.5 percent say they follow their current nursing practices and initiatives. A statistically meaningful difference was determined between the circumstances of voluntary selection and care for their professions (X2:24,410, p:0,00), the current practice and initiatives of nursing according to care for their professions (X2:4,816, p:0,28), the knowledge of nursing regulations and care for their professions (X2: 0,791, p:0,280). 33.6 percent of participants claim that reward is necessary for professional motivation, while 31 percent said that special training is necessary for the development of the profession. Recently, the nursing department students are willing to choose and care for their professions. The provision of team awareness and branching and organization in the field of nursing, proof-based practices including service training are important factors for the development of the profession.  This study was carried out with the aim of evaluating the proposals of students studying in nursing department of Gümüşhane University to develop nursing profession.                After the required institutional leave was obtained, 242 nursing students were interviewed who volunteered to participate in the study. While 33.6 percent of respondents said that it is necessary to award for occupational motivation, 31 percent stated that field-specific training should be given for the development of the profession. In recent times, nursing students have been willing to choose and care about their profession. Providing branching and organization in the field of nursing with team awareness, providing in-service training that includes evidence-based practices is an important factor for the development of the profession.          Nursing, Progress and Scientific
