Bu yazıda "Ebü’l-Berekât el-Bağdâdî ve Meşşâi Felsefe Bağlamında NEFİS BENLİK VE BİLGİ" isimli eserin incelemesi yapılmıştır. Bu eser, Ebü'l-Berekât'ın görüşleri merkeze alınarak nefis ve benlik hakkında bilgiler ihtiva etmektedir. Ayrıca yazar, Aristo, İbn-i Sina, Farabi gibi filozofların da konu ile görüşlerine yer vermektedir. Felsefi bir eserdir. Ebü’l-Berekât XII. yy. Selçuklu döneminde yaşamış bir filozoftur. Başta İbn-i Sina olmak üzere Meşşâi filozoflara yönelik eleştirileri ile tanınır. Çok az kitap yazan el-Bağdâdî’nin en önemli eseri Kitab’ul Mu’teber’dir. Ömer Ali Yıldırım tarafından telif edilen ve Litera Yayıncılık tarafından basılan eserde el-Bağdâdî’nin görüşleri merkeze alınarak nefis ve bilgi ilişkisi incelenmiş, İbn-i Sina, Farabi, Razi gibi filozofların konu ile ilgili görüşlerine yer verilmiştir. Felsefi yönü ağır basan bir eserdir. Eser, giriş ve iki bölümden müteşekkildir. Giriş bölümünde nefsin tanımı verilmiş, benlik bilinci ve bilgi ile ilişkisine değinilmiştir. Nefis, vücuttaki hareket, istek, idrak gibi olguların faili olarak isimlendirilmiştir.
