Abstract:

In the context of developments in information technologies, many technological applications such as blockchain, big data and artificial intelligence (AI) have necessitated a digital transformation in records management as well as in other fields. In parallel with digital transformation, it is possible to effectively manage the life cycle processes, which are the entire processes from the production of the records to its destruction in the context of AI technologies. AI technologies have the potential to make significant contributions to simplifying the identification, arranging, archiving and disposition processes of the records in its lifecycle, by accelerating and automating the processes with intelligent methods. In this study, by using descriptive and documentary review methods, determination and evaluations were made regarding the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the effective management of records lifecycle processes in the context of digital transformation and the general framework was tried to be revealed by developing suggestions within the framework of the new records lifecycle model created.
