Abstract:

As a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic in many countries including Turkey, in the spring period of the 2019-2020 educational year, distance education has been passed from daily education to distance education. During this period, social distances were banned in the framework of measures of protection. The emergency launch of remote education has led to a change in teaching methods and practices. The long duration of the inflatable process has limited the time dedicated to learning and students’ learning opportunities. The purpose of the research is to obtain the experience of remote learning of social information teachers candidates in the epidemic process and their opinions about this process. The study, designed in the form of a case study, was carried out with the participation of 151 teachers from seven different universities in Turkey. The data obtained by the semi-configured interview form is analyzed by content analysis. The results of the research, the teaching candidates in the distant teaching in the epidemic process, access to the internet, supply of material, providing a learning environment, learning difficulties, etc. They showed that they had difficulties. He also demonstrated that the distance learning process has benefits such as improving learning, research, reading and learning skills independent of time and space.
